About the Author

Hello. I grew up in Loudoun County, Virginia. I attended Virginia Wesleyan College and played basketball for one year before transferring to Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina, where I graduated with a B.A. in Graphic Design and Fine Art.

After graduation, I worked in the graphic design field for a few years in print shops and ad agencies. In 2001, I joined Art.com, Inc., where I worked my way up to Operations Manager. I left Art.com in 2015 and worked for a variety of companies, including Amazon, a large thrift store chain in Columbus, Ohio, and AMZL (Amazon Logistics).

In 2020, I returned to Northern Virginia to start and run my mother's business, Nature's Common Scents, which she founded in 2002. Nature's Common Scents is a small business that sells over 60 products for your skin and general health.

Recently, I launched a sister business called Open World Apothecary. Open World Apothecary will sell video game-related herbal products, such as soap, salves, skin-replenishing oils, and more. The products will be based on the herbs that you pick and craft in video games.

I believe that video games can be a powerful tool for education and inspiration. Open World Apothecary will combine my passion for both of these things to create a unique and innovative business.
